The Flowchart

Our family's primary issues come when a kid is either told "no" or asked to do something he wants to do.  This outlines the respectful way to deal with those situations.   A HUGE key is nipping the behaviors in the bud before you get irritated or angry.  Anger is NEVER a good way to approach parenting.  In fact, I have found that parental anger often distracts from the child's misbehavior- -and often the incident turns into an event that the child frames as being not his fault.

Click on the boxes in the right-hand side of the chart to see its full-sized version.  You'll want to print this to include on your poster.

P.S. If you know how to make it so that the comments box and sharing options aren't appearing on top of my text in this post, any guidance would be appreciated.  I can't figure it out, not even with the help of my good buddy Google.
